Specialists, scholars and professionals:

The award for outstanding academic papers sponsored by China Chemical Fibers Association & Hengyi Foundation is the only academic and technical prize for global chemical fiber industry. Under the concerted efforts and extensive participation of colleges, universities, scientific establishments and chemical fiber corporations engaged in textiles, the selection criteria and conditions have been strictly followed, continuous concerns have been put on broadening the accesses to solicit articles, and actions have been taken to improve recommendation and selection methods since its establishment in 2013. Furthermore, consistent adherence to quality prior to quantity not only ensures the papers are high quality and practical, but also wins an extensive and high reputation of the industry for us. We have received 637 articles in total; of these 217 papers have been commended and awarded. There are also dozens of new advanced technologies and innovative achievements in chemical fibers, such as A Study on Structures and Properties of High Molecular Weight Poly (P-phenylene Terephthalamide) (PPTA) Resin and its High Modulus Aramid Fiber, A Study on Polyimide Fiber Prepared by Dry Spinning Process and the Structures and Properties of the Polyimide Fiber, which are widely concerned and promoted in the industry. As a result,technology progress and upgrading of chemical fiber industry are achieved, and meanwhile the authors get acknowledgement of the industry.

In order to enhance paper influence further, the activities of outstanding paper selection held in 2016 will be co-sponsored by China Chemical Fibers Association and China Textile Engineering Society, under the guidance of China Association for Science and Technology and the support of China Nonwovens & Industrial Textiles Association. The papers will be themed by and extensively solicited from the areas of intelligent manufacturing engineering, green manufacturing engineering, technical innovation, management innovation, new fiber materials and their application, industrial textiles and others.

The activities for paper selection in 2016 have launched. We welcome all specialists, scholars and professionals from chemical fibers, textiles, and industrial textiles areas to submit papers. Now we notify the details on the solicitation and selection as follows:

I. Scope of Papers (the papers include, but are not limited to the following topics):

1.        Innovative development patterns of China chemical fiber and industrial textile industry under the 13th Five Year Plan

2.        China’s One Belt One Road strategy and industrial layout of chemical fibers and industrial textiles

3.        Intelligent manufacturing engineering and industrial upgrading

4.        Green manufacturing engineering, energy conservation and environment protection, and sustainable development

5.        High function and high performance fibers and their composite materials

6.        Bio-based fiber, and researches on homemade technology and equipment of bio-based fiber

7.        New generation of high-simulation, differential and functional fiber materials

8.        Basic theories, processing technology and application researches of industrial textiles

9.        Technologies related to waste textile treatment, and recycled and regenerated fiber

10.     Research on basic theories of high polymer materials and application thereof

11.     Research on energy conservation, emission reduction and cleaner production technology of the industry, and practice thereof

12.    Studies on carbon footprint and low carbon economy development strategies

13.    Studies on management innovation, brand building, inspection and testing, standardization, and intellectual property protection of the industry

14.    Related technical studies

II. Paper Requirements

1. Three categories of submissions including basic researches, application technology and integrated management are welcome to submit for consideration. The submissions are required to have authentic and original contents, coherent writing, prominent topics, clear standpoints, accurate data, sufficient demonstrations, definite conclusion, and application and promotional values for the industry. A piece of paper should be limited to at most 5000 words.

2. Both personal registration and institutional recommendation are allowable, provided that the author should take sole responsibility for his paper. All the submission should be indicated with previous publications and date of publication.

3. The submissions should comply with the scope mentioned above, and the selected topic should be good in theoretical significance and guidance, and creative and prospective. It should include a relatively complete literature review, and reflect the development status of the subject or related areas from different perspectives.

4. The submissions should reflect the level of the scientific research and the ability of practical application to some extent. It should be reasonable in design, accurate at theoretical analysis and calculation, and authentic in data and information.

5. The submissions should provide either profound analysis or insightful views to the issues of interest, and reflect the ability of the author to explore and solve practical problems with the use of the basic theories and professional knowledge.

6. Presence of any falsification and piracy in the award-winning paper will result in revocation of the award and bonus, and a notification will circulate within the industry.

7. The submissions must be in Microsoft Word format and in Chinese (the abstract and keywords must be both in English and Chinese).

8. We will acknowledge the receipt of the submissions by e-mail within three working days. If no acknowledgement received, please resubmit your paper or contact with the Association.

9. All submissions are required to fill up an acknowledgement receipt attached, including author’s contact details for convenience purpose.

10. The paper submission is due on 20th April 2016.

III. Review and Award

The accepted papers will be peer-viewed in accordance with Review Method and Review Process by experts and academicians from colleges, universities and research institutions organized by China Textile Engineering Society Chemical Fiber Committee. Honorary certificates for the academic papers and an appropriate amount of cash will be conferred on the authors of the award-winning papers by China Chemical Fibers Association & Hengyi Foundation.

The authors of the award-winning papers must attend the 2016 annual conference of China Textile Engineering Society Chemical Fiber Committee to receive their certificates and bonus.
